Enroll now for an unforgettable, intimate evening of
conversation and music on November 8th 2006,
at New York City’s renowned nightclub SOB’s.

Join us at 6:30 for an hour of camaraderie and mingling with Phil and fellow classmates while complimentary beer, wine, soft drinks and hor d’ourves are served.

Class starts at 7:30 with Phil speaking on music, improvisation and the Grateful Dead. He will take questions from the class. Then legendary jazz guitarist and friend John Scofield will join Phil in a discussion on improvisation in jazz and rock and share his insights on playing the Grateful Dead catalog while touring with Phil this summer.

Phil & Friends will perform two sets of music
with bands formed from students in the master class.

The evening will close with a very special set with Phil, John Scofield,
renowned jazz drummer Jaz Sawyer and old friend Rob Barraco.

Tickets are $150 and go on sale through Phil Lesh Ticketing
on Tuesday October 10th at 10:00 AM ET.

General admission, limited seating available on a first come basis.
No taping or video. Backpacks must be checked.

drummers, keyboardists, percussionists – Apply Now!

Phil Lesh University is accepting applications for musicians interested in joining Phil Lesh & Friends for an evening. Phil will form two bands from the applicants and prepare them for the evening performance.

If you are accepted Phil will call you to discuss the set list. You will arrive the day of show for rehearsal after which you and band mates including Phil will dine backstage before the evenings activities begin. You can relax and enjoy Phil’s class until it is your turn to perform a full set. You are welcome to bring a friend to support you.
You will need to send a few paragraphs telling us what instrument you play and a bit about yourself. Please include your phone number.

Enrollment is extremely limited and applications are being accepted now.

Tuition is $2,500 and if your application is accepted, you will be notified by phone and email. Your tuition can be paid by money order or credit card upon acceptance. You are responsible for your own transportation and lodging.

$2500 for tuition!!! Not cheap ;)
