no, it's in simple english and clearly stats that peeps who follow him on the internet "were given a fair warning" but aren't necessarily "more of a fan."

Certainly does not make anyone a bigger fan to follow celebrities on Twitter, Facebook, online forums, etc. But, it is a way for that celeb to reward the fans that make it obvious that they are fans. Similar to fan clubs that have an annual membership fee, and are given access to exclusive ticket pre-sales. If I joined every fan club that I wanted to get presale tickets for, I would not have money left for the actual tickets. Big difference here is that there is no associated fee. With the length of time that we were all aware of these upcoming CD releases, as well as being forewarned about the limited edition release, we should have been ready to pull the puchase trigger immediately.
either way.......
fuck cares. some new (old) jams are on the way and at worst you might have missed out on a poster or something.

That said, you can bet that a large portion of DRA's biggest fans are following him here, and FB, and Twitter.

Fair warning of a pre-order, but not that it was limited in amount available or a time period in which you needed to order.

I always wonder if people who rip on Twitter and Facebook use them or have used them, or are just reacting to wherever the mass media's public opinion is at the time.

I haven't read this whole thread. Is it safe to assume that you missed out on the pre-order?
While you are correct about e-mails not stating that supplies were limited or that the time period was limited, I think everyone (er, most everyone) probably assumed that. So they pulled the trigger early.
Regardless of how you feel, it is what it is. And your point has been made. Moral of the story? He who hesitates sometimes misses out. Next time place your order right away and you won't be disappointed.

Correct, I missed the pre-order. That however seems to be the only point you picked up on. I didn't hesitate, I attempted to order at the first opportunity I got. I for one, didn't assume pre-order meant "limited" and had it been stated I would have made it my business to order. And seeing as release date is still 3 weeks away, I should still be able to pre-order.
well Lewis, on the bright side...... you probably WILL get the last word.
so there's that.

Dude... In the second paragraph of my post, I acknowledged that you were right about the e-mails not saying supplies or the time period for ordering were limited. So the fact that you missed the pre-order was not "the only point" I picked up on. I'm just sayin'.
I'm sorry things didn't work out for you. But belaboring the point isn't going to change things.

We get it Mr Head. You're disappointed. You were treated unfairly. Ryan Adams is out to get you personally. I'm not sure what you did to him, but he got you!
Now... wheres that emoticon that fits this best?
Oh yeah!
:nopity:
And this one too.

But wait, there's more!! I signed up at PAXAM with my email address. Typed it in there, didn't even use auto fill, and submitted it. Then I waited. and waited. And then I got the email!!!!! Then I went and ordered my cds and vinyl copies .....
AND THEN I went to the kitchen and got a bowl of ice cream and a cookie.

I just cannot see under any circumstance how this process wasnt fair considering even bad fans like Mr. Head will be able to get a copy of III/IV the same day as me. If he were a lil nicer id even send him a PM with some unreleased demos from his favorite musician, wink wink.
