in lieu of searching for that thread where skifurther asks if 6 people want a 2 disc DVD set of the Dead's solstice show, 1989, shoreline, i thought i would start this thread and say that i am so happy to be finally viewing these DVD's.
and even better, i am so happy that it came from a *ryan adams* fucking messageboard website. that is just the best part about this.
i am so excstatic that there is a crop of deadheads into ryan. it just really tickles me.
that crowd chant before box of rain was priceless. "we love phil we love phil..." adorable
happy new year folks*

My daughter and I were watching that DVD the other day...as I gave it to her for Hanukkah. I don't think I ever tire of watching or listening to the Dead. I'm tickled, too....with all the Dead/Ryan heads on here....it's heaven.
Ski...you are so kind and generous. You truly deserve an appreciation thread. I so enjoyed meeting you, sitting with you at a show, enjoying the "gifts" you give to us all...and I look forward to seeing you at many more shows.
Thank you so much.

rock on skifurther, thank you again for that awesome dead DVD, loving it.
ditto of michele and amy's comments. i'm glad to know you, appreciate
your generosity and look forward to seeing you again soon.
i also love the dead connection here. mr rosebud and i will never agree on this, but i love hearing ryan cover dead songs, i know i know, ryan has written enough songs to keep us busy listening forever, but, when i'm at a show and he sings wharf rat or bird song or whatever dead song, i'm in double heaven.
i miss jerry, i've missed that piece of my personal little puzzle and ryan is definately filling in that space quite nicely. cozy cozy cozy
this space is getting hot . . . .
all good things to all of you way cool archivers and many blessings in the
new year.
chris
shhhh.....zeph...I like when Ryan sings Dead songs, too.
