Hmmm well dunno why I’m posting here, I guess I felt like writing and expressing my views to total strangers!
Well I just bust up with my girlfriend, we had been together for the best part of a year on and off, the thing is she was perfect, I just have issues from my past and unresolved issues in the closet, infact she was pretty much everything I wanted, but I just could not say those words ‘I love you’ instead I had a wondering eye and looked to other girls to get my self worth… i just felt that it was unfair on her to drag her along while I try and rebuild myself, I have started a counselling course which was just to painful to be in a relationship with, so I opted out, hopefully going back to where my engagement fell apart some 2 years ago will unlock the feelings that I bundled up at the time…I guess I thought the best way of dealing with it back then was going from bed to bed with girls, but hmmmmmmm that did not work and adds to the crap!
Yeah please close if this is not coco for the forums Sorry just feel like typing! :rip:
jimlad....I'm sorry. Sometimes we meet people who we really like..who may seem perfect...but it's just the wrong time in our life. I believe things like that happen in order for one to grow as a person. Hard to see when you're in it...but maybe a little easier as time goes by.
I wish you well...and I hope you work it all out. Don't we all have shit to work through? None of us is perfect....and while the girl may seem perfect....it doesn't mean there isn't someone else out there who you just haven't met yet....there's someone out there somewhere...and she'll be just as perfect.
Unfortunately, I'm married. ;) Chin up, Cheer up, ok?

you mean its not???
just kidding. i think this is where the old cliche "breaking up is hard to do" comes from. optimism probably makes you want to vomit, but the silver lining to girl problems is that it sometimes makes a lot of songs, especially some of mr. adams', a lot more profound. take care. and if you get too down... one more bed wouldn't hurt, would it?

whatever you do, don't marry someone who posts at raa and uses the same
computer !!!
since amyg and i agree on just about everything, i'd agree with her and add
that i personally believe that everything happens for a reason, albeit sometimes
we often don't understand the mother fuckin' reason, but nonetheless there's a bigger plan in motion.
be strong and true to yourself and always know your exit before you enter.
end of maternal lecture, carry on. (((amyg)))
Zeph..that's something I shall always remember...."always know your exit before you enter". I learn something every day from my dear Zephy.
NO...YOU...carry on. :)

Jimlad you just weren't meant to be together. When something's not working nothing will make it work. If you couldn't say the words then you didn't real love her. When you meet the right girl saying it will be easy and you won't even think about bed hopping. And yes you have to sort out your issues before you can really move on - whether you sort them out by yourself or with help.
And trust Auntie Angel - somewhere out there is just the right girl, right relationship and right time for it all to happen for you. Just keep the faith.
PS - Ignore the signature line - that has fuck all to do with real life.
Hey Jimlad, whatever else you have got some balls, doing the right thing despite it being the hardest thing to do is pretty special.
Here's hoping that you get through this and find that someone soon.
Oh and listen to the ladies, just not all the time though ;)
