Philly is a dream, so I'll take that...though I believe Highway has dual citizenship... the US and the UK...someday...

i just want to see some dates so that i will know when/where i'm roadtripping.

the uk or the us is ok with me, so long as it's either of them and soon.

1) Are tickets on sale now?
2) What night is this? The calendar in my brain is telling me a Tuesday.

3) I really hope this isn't the tour for the whole summer - I want 3 hours of Ryan, not him opening.

I think I answered number three by checking the web site - the tour has different artists every night. Big sigh of relief.

I would not worry myself one bit. I'm sure Ryan will be launching a big tour. It makes sense w/the new album...who knows if the Phila. thing is a one off or not. Then there's Stonehenge...just not sure how it will all be structured, but I would imagine it would be good to leave May-July/Aug open till we hear more (which will hopefully be soon).

Hi Blossom! I don't currently have dual-citizenship, but my father is a British subject, so I believe I could apply.
My only wondering is whether the fact that I was adopted as an infant by my parents would affect my eligibility. I mean, I am legally my father's son, but not through blood. Wonder if it matters? I'll look into it someday...

Hey, does anyone wonder who the TBA is?!?!?!
I'd be much more likely to take interest in this date if it was somebody I cared to see...or if our boy Ryan was the headlining act!
It seems like a few of the Mountain Stage dates are leaving the "big name" TBA.

Interesting though that Ryan spent his birthday playing with the Cowboy Junkies(it was his B-day, no?, I can't remember for sure) at that Trinity Church where they recorded the only C.J. album I ever play(Trinity Sessions). So there could be some collaboration there perhaps?
Dar Williams? She's good, but no way would I travel to Philly for her...

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...................

Last time I went to Philly was for the Dead in the spring of 95~

Caught Vinnie's break out of It's All Too Much.

Big whoop ;)

Oh yeah, we did get the stellar Visions that Phil chose to use on his Phil Zone release. Man, Jerry nailed that fucker down that night!

So I guess it was worth it afterall~

I was adopted, too, Highway! I'm thinking that you are what it says on your birth certificate....the adopted one. The legal one. At least you know you're half British. I haven't a clue, so I told my kids they could be half German (from their Dad) and half of whatever they want to be (from me).

Today...I shall be British!

Amy, that's a great way to look at it! When they want to be witty they can be british, sexy french, drunk irish, etc. ;)

Highway: I am pretty sure adoption does not affect this. You should be able to do "citizenship by descent." If England offers it? You need to contact the british consulate for an application. I was able to apply as a 2nd generationer, so you should most def. be able to as a first. You do need info. from your Dad, though. He's still alive, I hope?

Anyway, it's a cool thing to have. You become a member of the EU. Means you could work there, buy real estate, etc. You can then get a brit passport, etc.

No argument from me that the latter years of GD kinda blew, but scattered among the ruins there were some truly magical outpourings of emotion from Garcia.
It was not like the consistent ripping energy of the 70's, but these shining moments, usually during the ballads, were far more heartfelt & dripping with emotion & depth.
Being that I saw most of my Jerry in the 90's, these were the shining nuggets that I latched onto. I wish I'd seen that Visions of Johanna, that was such a perfect song for him to play(w/teleprompter, lol).

Ah.....back to earth, time to open the store...

Fuck yeah! I'm destined to retire in Amsterdam I think...
This is encouraging Blossom, yup he's still alive, thinking of making his last trip to England I think (Parkinson's fucking sucks), just got his new permanent resident alien card so Homeland Security will let him back in. Crazy retinal-scans & everything now to get the card renewed...

I was at 2 of the 3- although had to leave last show early. The day my wife quit "partyin" as you say it. Let's just say her & fungus didn't mix well that night-scarred her for life. Thank god there was a nurse where we were- yep, of all places, dead show and a registered nurse!
Anyways, this is killer, even if we don't get a whole Ryan show. Besides Ryan, the Junkies are one of my favs, I've seen many times since 94. For those of you not familiar with the Junkies- this is would be a good opportunity to check them out- esp. with Ryan on the bill. Hopefully Ryan and Margo will do something together.

For me this is the worst news in the history of Ryan Adams. Where will I be on that day - friggin' NYC that's where!!!
