Thanks for the scan. I always thought Two was about a woman, not tranqulizers. Really, really can't wait for that box set...

Thanks Christina,
I think it's not that bad. But I can't find any 'extended outtakes' on their website. Maybe I'm blind, well at least tired.
Anybody can tell me something about 'Lunesta' and/or 'SNL' ?

Lunesta is a prescription sleep aid and SNL is Saturday Night Live, a sketch comedy show with musical guests. :)

Thanks for the info. I just learned that I can watch SNL on a private TV channel here, but 3 months (!) after the original transmission. And way after midnight. Maybe I'll try it.
To speak about the article: the idea of the 'Rose' as a female alter ego of Ryan seems a bit far fetched, but nevertheless interesting. Any opinions/ideas ?

I always watch it on the extras of best of will ferrel vol. 1 - goddamn it cracks me up. The other one that kills me is the harry carrey skit: "It's a simple question. If the moon were made out of bar-b-que spare ribs, would ya eat it? I would. And I'd wash it down with an ice cold Budweiser."

I thought the article ended kind of abruptly. When I got the issue in the mail and read the article, I was looking for the rest on another page, but realized that was it. Still good though.

I definitely thought Two was about a woman/being in a relationship too. Though the tranquilizers theme works too. Guess that's what's great about so many RA songs, you can interpret them however they work for you.
I also raised my eyebrows (but was intrigued) by the suggestion that "Goodnight Rose" might as well be titled "Goodnight Ryan." My initial read on that song was that it was finally an optimistic song about a relationship, specifically his current one... "Goodnight Rose, we're going to win, put your troubles behind you." "who knows, maybe we'll win the whole shebang..." like maybe this one will finally work out after all those heartbreakers.

awesome, thanks for sharing. Two definitely makes sense in both ways and I really liked the part about Ryan's shyness...perhaps it will help people who go to his shows understand him a little more. Thanks again!

I was pretty sure that Two was about the tolerance of addiction building up, too. Very good read!!! I of course realized Ryan often uses roses and other flowery words, but I never identified them as maybe himself... I'll listen a little differently now.
