ok, here's something. i am in love with neko case. i cannot fucking believe how great her voice is. does anybody know if she and ryan have ever sung together? i know they are doing that hollywood bowl show...what is the connection there if any? she is such an amazing woman -- beautiful, artistic, her voice so penetrating. she's really "out there" in a similar way to ryan imo.

I have only heard one Neko Case album (Blacklisted) and I liked it quite a lot. Not in love with it - but I agree, she has a fantastic voice. I think a duet (if one has not already happened at some stage) would work very well.

I would also sell my mother to hear an RA - Patty Griffen duet.

I also saw Neko a few weeks ago at Webster Hall. I went having listened to only a few of her songs, but am as a result a big fan. I'm going to the New Pornographer's show in NYC this summer...a different kind of Neko, but we shall see...

I was being prickerly because of what has happened in the last twenty four hours, I was using humour as a weapon because I thought you were being insensitive towards me.

In retrospect you probably meant no ill, I apologize.

I am no child and have been through more in the space of ten years than most people face in a lifetime...but still sometimes simple things in life can mess with your mind...such as relationships and I have been having problems in that regard.

Sorry to hear of your current relationship situation Chris. Been going through some similar shit myself lately, though as yet I haven't killed any walls. ;)
Wish I could write about it like Ryan does, then I'd probably feel a whole lot better about the whole thing. My situation differs from yours in that I haven't been treated badly. We love each other intensely but it just wouldn't work out. It still makes you feel terrible though so I sympathise with you buddy.


On a lighter note, Sydders let's not forget "Hairway To Steven" by The Butthole Surfers for the great album titles list. Priceless!!
