randomness

i feel a new thread is needed so here is the thread of randomness. just say anything you want, it doesnt even have to make sense.

today i bought a pair of socks that had a sticker on it saying "Probably the most comfortable sock in the world!"

the sticker worked, it is why i bought them.

I'm convinced watching E! for any length of time will drive a person to suicide.

I'm really craving pizza and oreos (thanks DRA). And ice cream. But I've managed to stay in my pajamas all day, and I refuse to give in and get dressed now.

Cool thread. The part about "it doesn't even have to make sense" reminds me of a game me and my boys sometimes play when someone is feeling low and needs a laugh. The name of the game is "Say Something No One In the History of the World Has Ever Said Before." It's damn silly, but it often times snaps whoever is feeling blue out of their funk. There is no winner. The idea is to just say something you think no one has EVER said before. Something like, "My shoes are much more comfortable since I put the tuna salad and Jell-O inside of them." (I bet no one's ever said THAT before!)

But back to the point of this thread...

I can't believe my fucking Detroit Tigers are fucking 2 and 10. :(

Here's another one:

I'm sitting here watching Barack Obama live on CNN at this "Compassion Forum" in Pennsylvania and can't help but think: this guy would make one helluva president.

Deano...

don't worry about the Tigers, dude. They're going to be fine. 12 out of 162 games is nothing. Look no further than the Orioles being in 1st in the AL East, A's in the West (though I am an A's fan), Cards in the NL Central, Marlins in the NL East, etc.

They're one of the top five teams in baseball.

girls are crazy but I'm crazier... I'm suffering of a major adulthood change and I'm scared I'm going to fail, but it seems I always make it.

i bought a bike today, my bed's too firm, and i can't return it because i slept on it. how are you supposed to really know if you don't sleep on it.
"Homer?, Homer? why aren't you at work today? the car won't start,
i don't feel very good, i am at work. you're scared to go to work today because frank grimes will be there, aren't you? what? that's crazy talk, you're crazy marge, get off the road.(honk, honk) you'll have to face em sometime, and when you do i'm sure he'll be just as anxious to make up as you are. no he won't, he hates me. he doesn't hate you. he just feels insecure, because you're getting through life so easily, and its been so difficult for him. yeah, yeah, that's his problem, he's a nut, it's not about me being lazy, it's about him being a crazy nut. well maybe, but i bet he'd be less crazy if you'd just be a little bit more professional in your work. "muayyy". just a little more, then he won't have a reason to resent you.
i'll do it, (raise beer), to professionalism.

Re: randomness

I decided not to take the AmeriCorps position in San Francisco that I was offered. It came too quick and the living allowance wasn't enough. So instead I'm going to plan ahead and hopefully be there a year from now instead. :) And as a by product of that, I get to spend another year around one of the best friends I've ever had and my Dad. :)

But dammit California, I'm coming sooner or later.

Leatherheads was a horrible movie.

But I was eating some pulled pork at a local eatery this evening, and it was so good that I walked out with an erection.
