Weird thing, if you know the stories about what happened, is that this sounds like a great showe. Short maybe, but some beautiful deliveries.... When the Stars Go Blue comes to mind right now, and Neal's vocals on FREEway To The Canyon are better than I've heard them ever (& that includes the studio version)......
How did Uncle Hway say it: the boy is a cute enigma..............

good point..
all the yada was just about the length of the set.. seems so..
Ummm, kees? Highway to the Canyon? I don't know for sure but that sounds like a Ray or BCR song or something...
I think Neal sings FREEWAY to the Canyon.

the show itself was superb other than the shortness of the whole thing. the sound was impeccable up front, but i think the real problem was the sound on stage. ryan played piano on three tunes as far as i rememebr while stage hands were tinkering with his amps.
i taught myself to grow old almost had me in tears.

Looking back on it now, after the heat of the moment as it were, I think a lot of us that were there (and all rubbing elbows in the front apparently) were just frustrated because TO US it sounded great, and they seemed to be clicking. It felt like a good show was just getting going. It certainly doesn't take away from what WAS played.
Thank you so much Unit65 for getting this out so soon
I'm not sure if I'm ready to hear this yet. I know what they played was great, it will only make me sad again for wanting more. IMO the show never really took off, never really felt like a show.
Guess I'm feeling like I "broke up" with ryan as Zeph sometimes puts it.
