What are the chances of a no repeat run through these two nights at UCLA?

Slim to none, I imagine.

I was listening to some of RNR/LIH b-sides yesterday and thought that a lot of them would sound amazing with the Cards. Now I have a fantasy of them whipping out "Funeral Marching," "Ah, Life," and "Suspicion" at the shows. Oh, what I would give for "Funeral Marching"!!

Really? For the two nights in Charlottesville there were only like 4 repeats (Beautiful Sorta, Goodnight Rose, Rescue Blues, Wildflowers). Shouldn't be too hard to go repeatless here.

Re: 01-30-2008 UCLA, Los Angeles, CA - Setlist & Reviews

But wasn't that when they were doing the "red cave"/"blue cave" thing?

I'm not saying that it would be hard for them to go repeatless, I would just be really surprised if the set list varies substantially from the others on this mini-tour. The only songs I was surprised to hear at the shows (SD and Claremont) and see from the setlists were "Wonderwall," "Come Pick Me Up," "Why Do They Leave," and "This House Is Not For Sale." I'm happy to hear whatever they want to play.

For sure. This tour has been insane. I'm greedy. And I know the Cardinals have it in them.

East Coast first, please. I love the post-gig thread when we get to hear how awesome the show was. I bet they'll mix it up these two nights. Maybe get some surprises. I predict These Girls (only because I really think they should play it).

Does anyone know if the Cardinals have performed "Black Clouds"? I would like to hear that. Such an intense song...

I as doing the same thing on Monday and completely agree. It would be nice to hear 'Black Clouds' off the Japan Edition of LIH.

Re: 01-30-2008 UCLA, Los Angeles, CA - Setlist & Reviews

hey this is real dumb. I feel embarassed asking and it's too last minute prob. I'm prob taking the Greyhound. but just in case, is anyone driving down there to LA from San Fran, and hasn't left yet? that has room in their car? I know it can be wierd when you 'travel' with people you don't know. but sometimes it can be ok too. oh I mean for tomorrow's show. but then maybe I should post this somewhere else.

anyways, just askin.

have a good show tonight!

Never. Good tune, though. My fave forgotten song from that time period is Suspicion, which has also never been played live.

Seriously! I can totally hear Neal or Graboff doing the "suspiciooooooon" harmony. Just like I would LOVE to hear Spacewolf tackle the bass lines in "Funeral Marching." Oh, a girl can dream...maybe if I think about it really hard, then WH will pick up on my mental vibes and have the great idea to kick out some old jams during the two-night gig.
